This journal entry is from a powerful time of God stripping off my misconceptions about Him, myself, and who I am to Him. This Gustav Klimt painting: The Kiss will forever be inseparable in my memory of how God unveiled my divine femininity and patiently loved me into seeing myself as the woman in this painting.
Spoiler alert: This image is a photo of my first journal with this painting on the front cover. It took four journals-worth of study of the Song of Solomon and intimate correspondence between the Lover and the Beloved for me to begin to picture myself in this picture.
May The Lover of your soul take you to new depths of understanding and embracing just how He loves you and sees you.
